In 2010, Carmanah supplied and installed a 287 kW solar rooftop PV system for a refrigeration facility in Southern Ontario.

The facility will allow the company to generate revenue under its contract with the Ontario Power Authority’s Feed-In-Tariff (FIT) program. The system is expected to generate approximately 300,000 kWh of clean, carbon-free electricity annually - an amount equivalent to that consumed by 25 average Canadian households, and will occupy roughly 30,000 square feet of the rooftop.
