Get the Signal - Campus Crosswalk Contest

Are you passionate about your campus? Is increasing walking and cycling infrastructure at your University or College important to you? 

Tell us what your school is already doing to improve walking, cycling and transit to campus and show us where our crosswalk beacon can help! You could win our Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) system for installation at a suitable crosswalk, on or near your campus! 

How to Enter

1) Go to our Facebook Page to enter:
2) Tell us what your University/College is already doing to improve 
     walking, cycling and transit to campus in the description box on the contest entry form 
3) Upload a photo, image or short video showing us where our RRFB    
     solar crosswalk beacon can help your efforts, at a crosswalk on or near campus.  
     Watch for your entry to be posted to the contest vote page within 24 hours of submission.
4) Get Engaged! Encourage your peers, colleagues & friends to like, 
     vote, comment & share your entry on Facebook! The top 3 entries 
     with the most engagement will become finalists. Carmanah will 
     consider the finalists and choose a winner based on engagement 
     and suitability of the crosswalk location.

Contest Fine Print: This contest is open to all University and Colleges in the United States and Canada only. Students, faculty, and administration staff of those Universities and Colleges, and municipal governments on a campus’s behalf, are eligible to enter. Participants entering must provide a valid email address. The contest begins on Feb 14, 2014 and ends on March 31, 2014 at 5 pm PST. Participants will enter for a chance to win one Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon Crosswalk System for installation at a suitable crosswalk location, on or near the winning Campus. All entries, votes and engagement must be submitted by 5 pm PST on March 31, 2014 to be considered for the top three finalists. Finalists and the winner will be contacted by email. A letter of support from both the winning school campus and city will be required in order to be declared the winning entry. Carmanah Technologies reserves the right to choose the final winning entry. Signs and poles are not included in the prize package. Installation costs will be assumed by the winning entrant. All other costs and expenses that are not specifically listed as part of the prize in these Official Rules are solely the responsibility of the prize winners. Prize has no cash value. The winning campus will become a case study subject. Development of the case study will include installation video and photography.
