Carmanah Provides LED Obstruction Lights to Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania

Sunday, March 11, 2007

Carmanah recently shipped several of its Model 601 LED obstruction lights to Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to be installed on 30-meter communications towers to increase nighttime visibility. This is the first order of Carmanah's solar LED lighting technology to be shipped to this West African country.

Completely self-contained, solar-powered and waterproof, Carmanah's Model 601 LED obstruction lights are ideal for temporary or permanent obstruction marking applications. Installation of these compact obstruction lights takes minutes and require no trenching, cabling or wiring. They also feature 2 miles of visibility, turn on automatically at dusk and off at dawn, and requires no scheduled maintenance for up to five years.

Carmanah's Model 601 LED obstruction lights incorporate the Company's patented MICROSOURCE® Energy Management System, a field-proven technology that ensures they will operate reliably year-round under harsh weather and environmental conditions.
