Carmanah's Power Systems Group has received an order from Volpe Industries for a 64 watt/24 volt MAPPS (Modular Autonomous Photovoltaic Power Supply) system. The system will be installed at a solar-powered security site in Seekonk, Massachusetts.
Volpe Industries, a leader in IP (Information Protocol) Video technology, uses the Internet to provide affordable, global surveillance security and solutions to virtually any location. For this particular security application, Volpe required a highly-reliable, remote power system to security cameras and radio transmitters. Carmanah's MAPPS was selected as the ideal technology solution because of its fully-integrated design and field-proven reliability.
About MAPPS Solar Power Systems
Carmanah's MAPPS solar power systems are the only complete, stand-alone systems designed specifically for industrial / security applications. MAPPS systems are shipped as turnkey, easy-to-assemble systems and they can dramatically decrease the time and associated cost of installation. Simply mount the solar modules and enclosure, connect the cables and these systems are operational with minimal technical expertise required. MAPPS is also the only solar power system available that can be approved for Class I, DIV. II hazardous locations (UL Pending).
Thousands of Carmanah MAPPS systems have been deployed worldwide over the past 15 years. These systems are field-proven to endure the harsh weather conditions and extreme temperatures found at many remote locations. Carmanah's MAPPS systems can also be approved for Class I, DIV. II hazardous locations (UL Pending).
