Carmanah is pleased to announce that it has received a repeat order from
the Middle East Navigation Aids Service (MENAS) for 700 Series
solar-powered LED marine lights.
The lights will be used by the government for buoys marking fisheries areas between Bahrain and Qatar. The water in this region is very shallow (0-4m) and therefore the buoys are quite small. Carmanah's compact, fully integrated marine lights were considered ideal for this application. The Marine Services Manager for MENAS commented "...the build quality is superb and we will certainly use `Carmanah's lights` again where a self contained unit fits the brief..."
MENAS (Middle East Navigation Aids Service) owns and maintains a modern and effective network of visual aids to navigation, satellite-based systems and associated maritime safety and environmental protection services in the waters of the Gulf. MENAS plays a central role in the safety of shipping in the region and thereby helps preserve the marine environment. MENAS is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, funded through navigation dues paid in respect of vessels trading in the region.
