Carmanah has received an order for 52 Model 702 solar-powered LED obstruction lights to be used at a U.S. Air Force base in the United States. The obstruction lights will be placed on airfield shade canopies used to shield aircraft from the elements when they are parked. Carmanah's obstruction lights will deliniate the canopy locations for fixed wing and rotary aircraft, as well as operating machinery on the tarmac.
Carmanah's obstruction lights are ideal for this canopy marking application. Their self-contained design makes them simple and quick to install with no external power requirements or infrastructure. They are also designed to operate autonomously with no scheduled maintenance for up to 5 years.
