Carmanah’s Solar LED Lighting Division has received an order from the US Air Force to supply 144 of its A601 solar-powered LED lights for use as portable airfield lighting. These lights will be used to illuminate taxiways at a US Air Force base in the Middle East.
Carmanah’s A601 solar-powered LED lights are compact and self-contained making them perfect for portable airfield lighting applications. Easy to transport and install with no need to connect to generators, Carmanah’s portable airfield lighting is used throughout the Middle East on temporary airfields for both covert and humanitarian operations. Carmanah’s lights have been proven to withstand extreme weather and harsh working conditions, operating reliably and requiring no maintenance for up to five years.
This latest order with the US Air Force was a rush order with an air base requiring immediate delivery. Carmanah was able to provide the full order of portable airfield lights in less than two days.
Carmanah has supplied solar-powered LED lighting for all Department of Defense operations since 1996 and acts as a primary supplier of solar LED aviation lighting for all NATO, defense and US forces.
