Carmanah’s Solar LED Lighting Group has recently supplied an additional 200 Model A601 solar LED taxiway lights to the US Air Force for installation at a Middle East air base. More than 1000 units have been supplied to this base since 2003.

Carmanah’s solar-powered aviation lights are a cost-effective, no-maintenance solution ideal for harsh conditions that require reliable operation to increase airfield safety. Many air bases are positioned in remote areas with limited or no access to conventional power sources. This lack of infrastructure, coupled with the costs and dangers associated with transporting fuel, make solar-powered lighting and solar power systems an attractive alternative to power critical operations.

Demonstrating proven durability in some of the harshest climates in the world, Carmanah’s solar LED aviation lighting are regarded as the most advanced and cost-effective remote airfield lighting solution on the market.

Carmanah has supplied solar-powered lighting for all Department of Defense operations since 2002 and acts as a primary supplier of solar LED aviation lighting for all US Defense and NATO forces.
