US Army Orders Solar-Powered LED Spotlights and Aviation Lights for Forward-Operating Base

Carmanah has recently received an order from the US Army for 34 units of its GI-101 spotlights, 22 units of GI-102 spotlights, as well as an additional 390 airfield lights for obstruction, apron edge and taxiway edge applications. All of these solar-powered LED lights will be installed at a US forward-operating base in Iraq where over 800 other Carmanah aviation lights have been in use for the last 18 months. Carmanah's solar-powered, self-contained LED aviation lights have proved to be the ideal lighting solution for several US forward-operating bases in the Middle East, where there is typically no reliable electrical infrastructure or access to grid power.

Carmanah Supplies 1800 LED Signs to Leading US Lottery Corporation

Carmanah Supplies Solar-Powered Illumination for Canadian Highway Rest Stops

Carmanah has been contracted by British Columbia's Ministry of Transportation (MOT) to develop and supply solar-powered LED area lighting for four rest stops located along remote sections of the Trans Canada Highway (Highway 1) in British Columbia. This project was initiated by MOT to help encourage travelers to utilize rest stops by making them more appealing, user-friendly and safe.

Carmanah Signs has received an order from Diamond Jo Casino in Dubuque, IA for 17 units of its LED edge-lit table limit signs. The signs will be installed on gaming tables throughout the casino and will brightly illuminate each table's betting limits using Carmanah's LED edge-lit technology. Carmanah's LED illuminated table signs feature detailed custom engraving of Diamond Jo's casino logo, multi-color bright illumination, and a digital display that changes the table minimum and maximum betting limits with the click of a button.

Hurricane Rebuilding

In the week following the hurricane Katrina, Carmanah Technoliges Inc. received orders for over 500 of its solar-powered LED marine, railway and aviation lights. To meet the demand, the Company had diverted all of its inventory and production to the hurrican region, said Carmanah's CEO, Art Aylesworth. Most of the orders have been for Carmanah's 700 Series marine navigation lights, which were sent to the US Coast Guard in Mobile, Alabama, for distribution to affected areas in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama.

Carmanah Provides LED Edge-Lit Street Signs to the City of Oakland, CA.

Carmanah's Roadway Division has received an order to provide several units of its UL-listed, industry-leading R409 LED illuminated street name sign for the City of Oakland, California. This order follows a previous purchase for an evaluation unit of the R409, which was successfully trialed by the City of Oakland and is expected to lead to additional future orders..
