Home Addresses Light up the Night

Homeowners can now make their house easy to find with illuminated address and house number signs. Using LED technology, the engraved or painted acrylic panels produce a crisp, evenly illuminated address in an ultra-slim package. The LED address signs are energy efficient, consuming up to 90 percent less power and lasting almost 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs.

U.S. Army Orders Additional Taxiway Edge Lights for Middle East Operations

Carmanah Solar LED Marine Lights Used as Part of Failure Warning System for Tuttle Creek Dam, KS

The Tuttle Creek Dam and resulting Tuttle Creek Lake was planned, designed, constructed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The Corps of Engineers also manages the Tuttle Creek Dam and Lake to benefit the state of Kansas by providing flood control, recreation, fish and wildlife management, low flow augmentation and navigation flow supplementation. The Tuttle Creek Dam features a Failure Warning System consisting of geotechnical instrumentation that measures seismic shaking, detects embankment/foundation deformation, and monitors changes in foundation pore pressures in the event of an earthquake.

Carmanah Runway Edge Lights at New Mexico’s Conchas Lake State Park Airport

In the Spring of 2005, Carmanah's solar LED runway edge lights will be installed at the Conchas Lake State Park Airport in the State of New Mexico. A total of 12 runway edge lights and 21 taxiway edge lights, including Carmanah mounting accessories, will be installed for permanent lighting.

Repeat Order For Carmanah Airfield Lights by Baghdad International

The Aviation Lighting Division is pleased to announce that the US Air Force has ordered more than 400 additional Carmanah airfield lights for installation at Baghdad International Airport in Iraq. The new contract is for 390 Model 601 taxiway edge lights and 15 Model 601 obstruction lights, which will be installed for permanent use on civilian and military taxiways.

Additional Order for Solar LED Taxiway Lighting Placed by U.S. Marine Corps

The U.S. Marine Corps has recently placed an order for 164 Model 601 solar LED taxiway and obstruction lights for use in Middle East operations. This order is in addition to a previous larger shipment that was delivered in September. LED Illuminated Street Signs Installed in Tyler, Texas

Tyler, Texas has a population of more than 87,000 and covers 52.7 square miles. The city is considered the manufacturing, health care, educational and retail center of East Texas. The city has recently ordered Carmanah's internally illuminated street signs for three new signalized intersections.

Illuminated Signs Possible Near Mall

HURST - Heavily traveled intersections near North East Mall could soon receive LED illuminated street signs to help motorists find nearby restaurants and retail stores more easily. If the $60,000 proposal is approved, Hurst would join a growing number of cities in the Metroplex using lighted street signs, including North Richland Hills, Addison and Plano. Larry Martin, Hurst operations engineer of public works, shows an illuminated street sign like the type that is proposed for intersections around North East Mall as part of a $60,000 project under consideration.

Additional Solar LED Taxiway Edge Lights Ordered by US Air Force

The US Air Force has ordered an additional 100 solar LED taxiway edge lights for installation at Balad Air Base, Iraq. The total number of Carmanah avation lights currently installed at this base now exceeds 1600 units. The Balad Air Base is currently operated by the US Army and US Air Force for fixed wing and rotary aircraft and is one of 8 military air bases incorporating a complete Carmanah Portable Solar Airfield Lighting System (PSALS). Carmanah's solar LED airfield lights have saved the US military millions of dollars in the upfront capital costs, installation costs and operating costs typically associated with generator or hardwired systems.
