The U.S. Marine Corps has recently placed an order for 164 Model 601 solar LED taxiway and obstruction lights for use in Middle East operations. This order is in addition to a previous larger shipment that was delivered in September.

Carmanah’s unique self-contained lighting technology integrates light emitting diodes, a solar power system and advanced, patented power management. The result is reliable, flexible, and low-cost airfield lighting ideal for temporarary, expedited or permanent applications.

More than 2,000 lights have been supplied to the US Marine Corps alone in the last 12 months. Carmanah’s airfield lights offer 4 levels of adjustable intensities that are successfully being used for covert operations where pilots rely on Night Vision Goggles (NVGs).
