Carmanah Technologies has been named Canadian Exporter of the Year by International Trade Canada.
The company, maker of solar power and LED lighting systems for the marine and other industries, also received the Innovation Export award for successfully developing and launching innovative products.
Carmanah is headquartered in Victoria, British Columbia, and its international operations include branch offices in 11 cities throughout Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Its customers include government agencies, commercial and private users, port authorities, transit authorities, and commercial and private airports in 110 countries.
David Green, Carmanah’s founder and chairman, accepted the awards during a luncheon in Ottawa last month.
