Carmanah has recently supplied an additional 400 Model 601 LED taxiway lights to be installed at Kirkuk Air Force Base in Iraq and Ali Al Salem Air Force Base in Kuwait. Kirkuk Air Force Base has now installed a total of 600 units to light the entire airfield for taxiing aircraft and fuel truck operations. Ali Al Salem Air Force Base has ordered an additional 200 taxiway lights in addition to a large shipment of Carmanah units relocated from the now closed Al Jaber Air Force Base. Due to the portability of Carmanah’s lights, the personnel at Ali Al Salem were easily able to relocate the lights from Al Jaber with no trenching, re-cabling, etc.

Carmanah’s solar powered LED aviation lights allow for permanent, temporary and/or expedited airfield lighting at a fraction of the cost of conventional or battery-powered airfield lighting.
