As well as being listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange, Carmanah has reported various orders for its solar-powered LED beacons.

Solar-powered LED specialist Carmanah has joined the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX). The company’s common shares began trading on the TSX effective Thursday, February 2, 2006 at 9:30 am ET under the symbol “CMH”.

Carmanah recently received an additional order from the US Air Force for 171 units of its A702-5 solar-powered LED runway lights. These units are destined for installation at the Baghdad International Airport in Iraq, where more than 1000 Carmanah lights are now installed. This airport has been using Carmanah’s solar-powered LED airfield lights since the spring of 2003, primarily for taxiway and apron edge lighting, to provide relief for the airport’s overburdened and unreliable electrical grid.

Also, Carmanah was recently contracted to supply 550 solar-powered LED lights, in conjunction with C.T Tagahashi & Company of Seattle, Washington, to the Taiwan High Speed Rail Corp (THSRC). Carmanah’s Model 601 solar LED blue lights will be installed to mark various emergency telephone and exit locations on a new bullet rail system linking Taipei and the southern City of Kaohsiung.

Finally, Carmanah has received an additional order from Plovput Beograde, the government agency responsible for the maintenance and development of all Serbian Inland Waterways (IWWs), for 55 units of its Model 601 solar-powered LED marine navigation lights. These units will be used to illuminate buoys and waterway markers throughout a 600km stretch of the Danube River in Serbia.
