Carmanah’s Solar Power Systems Group has been contracted by Wyoming Service & Supply, a corrosion control contractor based out of Rock Springs, WY, to supply 16 of its proprietary MAPPS remote solar power systems. These systems will be used to power Cathodic Protection Systems on gas wells at various locations in Colorado and Kansas.

Cathodic Protection Systems are designed to control corrosion issues that can occur at the well head. For these particular gas well installations, there is no grid power available on-site, therefore solar power was the most appropriate alternative solution. Wyoming Service & Supply chose Carmanah’s MAPPS solar power systems because of their fully-engineered, integrated design. MAPPS was also the most cost-effective of all the systems they reviewed during their equipment selection process.

About MAPPS Solar Power Systems

Carmanah’s MAPPS systems are the only complete stand-alone solar electric systems available that is specifically designed for remote industrial applications. Thousands of MAPPS systems have been deployed worldwide over the past 15 years. From deserts to mountain tops, MAPPS systems have been field-proven to provide reliable, long-term operation in harsh environments and through extreme temperature changes.

Carmanah’s MAPPS Systems are shipped as turnkey, easy-to-assemble kits and they can be installed quickly with minimal technical expertise. For more information on this project or Carmanah’s solar power systems in general, please visit www.spsenergy.com or contact:
