Carmanah is pleased to announce that it has supplied an order to TAKEX America for 20 units of its proprietary 102 watt MAPPS (Modular Autonomous Photovoltaic Power Supply) systems. These stand-alone solar-powered units will be installed in San Juan, Puerto Rico as part of a solar-powered perimeter security system.
TAKEX America, a world leader in security and industrial automation sensors based out of Sunnyvale, CA, was looking for a more cost-effective and reliable energy alternative to grid power, which is subject to outages during frequent storms.
Solar power is an ideal solution to safely and reliably generate electricity to power remote security systems. Carmanah’s MAPPS systems are the only complete stand-alone solar electric systems available that are specifically designed for remote industrial applications.
