Carmanah’s Solar LED Lighting Group has received an additional order for more than 300 solar-powered LED airfield lights from the US Marine Corps. This order includes taxiway lights, helipad lights, threshold lights and related mounting accessories.
With no trenching, cabling, or external power infrastructure required, Carmanah’s solar-powered LED airfield lights can be installed quickly with no disruption to ongoing operations. Each unit is completely independent, self-contained, compact and waterproof. The technology is ideal for regions with little or no access to reliable grid power.
Carmanah’s airfield lights also incorporate the Company’s patented MICROSOURCE® Energy Management System, ensuring they will operate reliably year-round under all types of harsh weather and environmental conditions.
Carmanah has more than 5000 airfield lights installed with the US Marine Corps alone in the Middle East. Carmanah’s airfield lights have been extensively tested and field-proven to be the most durable self-contained solar LED lighting in the world. The Company is currently the primary supplier of solar-powered LED lighting solutions to US defense and NATO forces.
