Carmanah Solar-Powered LED Taxiway Lights Deployed by Iraqi Air Force

Through the Department of State, US Mission Iraq, Security and Justice Sector, Carmanah has been contracted to supply the Iraqi Air Force (IQAF) with 80 units of the Carmanah Model 601 solar-powered LED taxiway light.

This contract is Carmanah’s first order with the Iraqi Air Force. The taxiway edge lights will be used for permanent installation at the Kirkuk Air Base, located in northern Iraq, approximately 240 kilometers North of Baghdad on the West side of the city of Kirkuk.

More than 800 Carmanah solar-powered LED airfield lights are already deployed by the US Air Force at Kirkuk. Carmanah has in excess of 11,000 units installed at more than 100 air bases and camps throughout the Middle East, Northern Africa, Southeast Asia and the United States.
