Carmanah has received an order for more than $200K from the US Navy to supply additional units of its proprietary MAPPS (Mobile Autonomous Photovoltaic Power Supply) systems for installation at the Smoky Hill Air National Guard Range in Saline County, KS.
Carmanah’s solar power systems are deployed within Air National Guard firing range to support computer and radar systems for tracking missles and other projectiles used at range. There is currently no utility power available at the required locations, therefore solar power was the ideal, alternative solution. Carmanah’s technology was selected for its fully-integrated design and competitive price.
For this application, Carmanah provided modified MAPPS systems, including custom-designed mounting structures and equipment enclosures, as well as pre-wired control packages to support US Navy hardware.
Carmanah’s MAPPS systems are the only complete stand-alone solar electric systems available that are specifically designed for remote industrial applications.
