Carmanah Wins 2003 Applied Energy Innovation Award

Canadian Institute of Energy AwardCarmanah is pleased to announce that at an awards gala on February 26 2004, the Company was selected as the recipient of the 2003 Applied Energy Innovation Award by the Canadian Institute of Energy. This annual award was presented by the CIE (BC) to recognize British Columbian energy companies that have converted energy-related innovation into business success. The evaluative criteria for this award included:

  • Demonstrated energy savings
  • The degree of innovation
  • British Columbia content
  • Environmental benefits
  • Business success

Carmanah was selected based in large part on its innovative combination of LEDs, high-efficiency solar power, advanced power storage systems, and intelligent power management in producing a range of products for a wide variety of applications, both domestically and internationally.
