Carmanah’s Solar LED Lighting Group received an initial order, through its distributor AMA India, to supply Delhi International Airport with several units of model A601 barricade lights.

The self-contained solar LED A601 lights will be installed on movable barricades used to restrict access to construction areas and increase night-time safety at India’s second-largest airport facility.

A Public Private Partnership Initiative, the Delhi International Airport lists among its mandates the upgrading of existing terminals and the construction of new terminals and runways. These goals require the management of traffic within construction-sensitive areas of busy airfields.

Carmanah’s A601 barricade lights are ideal for this application — with no external cables or electrical connections, the lights are easy to install and entirely portable, so barricades can easily be repositioned as necessary. In addition, the barricade lights reduce maintenance costs by offering five years of reliable illumination, maintenance free, on a single set of rechargeable batteries.
