Six enterprises received Globe Awards for Environmental Excellence in Vancouver last night. Toyota In Canada won in the corporate competitiveness category, the Canadian Urban Transit Association for environmental performance, Carmanah Technologies Inc. for export performance, Xantrex Technology Inc. for technology innovation, Innovest Strategic Value Advisors for sustainable investment and banking, and Canada Lands Co. for brownfield redevelopment. The awards, presented by the Globe Foundation of Canada and The Globe and Mail, capped Globe 2004, an environmental business summit in Vancouver.
