Listen up, commuters: Victoria-based CARMANAH TECHNOLOGIES Inc. has unveiled the world’s first solar-powered bus stop. The i-STOP is powered by sun-charged battery units and promises to light up the lives of weary commuters with illuminated bus schedules and security lights. The unit also features a ripcord that activates a flashing beacon to let the driver know you need a lift. If only it made coffee too. The i-STOP retails for $1550, batteries included.
