The Japan ASDF recently purchased 280 Carmanah Model 601 solar LED lights for taxiway and other lighting applications in Kuwait. The Japan ASDF are currently preparing their own hangar and taxiway at a Middle East air base for Japanese C-130 heavy transport planes to be used during the humanitarian and reconstruction efforts in Iraq.
The Japan ASDF purchased Carmanah’s lights based on positive feedback from the U.S. Air Force, who now have thousands of units installed at various bases in the Middle East, Southeast Asia and North America.
