On today’s edition of Canada’s Business Report, host Robert Graham profiles a fast-growing Victoria, B.C., company that designs and manufactures solar-powered LED lighting for the marine, roadway and railway markets.
Graham speaks with Art Aylesworth, President and Chief Executive Officer at Carmanah Technologies. They discuss a new U.S. Coast Guard regulation that endorses wider use of LED lighting in marine safety, how the regulation will impact on business, and the company’s success in doing work with transit authorities in London, England.
Aylesworth believes 2004 will be a year of great growth for the company. Last year, Carmanah enjoyed revenue growth of more than 40%. Aylesworth says, “I would not rule out a double in revenue this year. I would suggest that is very possible.”
Executive produced by Canada NewsWire, Canada’s Business Report is the most comprehensive daily business news program on radio in Canada.
