The US Air Force of Tallil Air Base has ordered an additional 50 units of Carmanah’s solar LED taxiway edge lights, 50 airport mounting plates and 50 floor flange frangible couplings for permanent installation at the Iraqi Air Base.

Tallil AFB will use the solar LED taxiway lights to replace existing retro reflective markers, providing self-illumination to increase airfield safety for pilots of taxiing aircraft. Tallil is currently using 75 units of Carmanah’s Night Vision Goggle compatible taxiway edge lights that were installed in early 2003.

Carmanah has installed more than 6500 units for the Air Force, Marines, Army, Air National Guard and Air Reserve Bases. As a world leader in solar LED aviation lighting, Carmanah continues to provide its next generation aviation lighting technology for civilian and military applications.
