The US Army has contracted the Aviation Lighting Division of Carmanah Technologies to supply 32 units of the Model A702 amber helipad edge light and its corresponding mounting hardware. These lights will be permanently installed to enhance helipad edge visibility during Night Vision Goggle (NVG) use at a US Army Medevac Hospital in Kuwait.

This order is in addition to more than 12,000 lights already installed by the US Armed Forces at more than 100 air bases and camps on 5 continents. Carmanah’s Model A702 is easy to install, maintenance free and proven to be reliable. Additional advantages include the light’s ability to operate independent of conventional grid power, reduce infrastructure requirements, be deployed during covert operations and eliminate energy costs.

Carmanah offers a wide variety of rugged and proven reliable airfield lighting solutions for defense and civilian applications.
