Carmanah has received an order from the US Air Force (USAF) for 200 of its Model A601 solar-powered LED taxiway lights with optional deactivation switches. These lights will be installed at a Forward Operating Base in Afghanistan that already uses more than 1000 units of Carmanah’s solar LED portable airfield lights.
The USAF selected Carmanah’s solar-powered LED aviations lights because powered infrastructure is not available for most Middle East US DOD and Coalition Forces Operations. Carmanah has installed more than 20,000 lights with the US Armed Forces, NATO & Coalition Forces around the world. These organizations have saved millions of dollars by using Carmanah’s innovative lights and eliminating the need for infrastructure in large airport environments.
