The US Marine Corps have placed an order for Carmanah’s taxiway, helipad and obstruction lighting for installation at the Al Asad Air Base in Iraq. The US Marines Corps will be using Carmanah’s Model 601 for taxiway edge lighting, helipad edge lighting and obstruction lighting. These units will have the optional magnetic toggle switch for easy shut off in emergency situations and storage capabilities.

Carmanah’s ability to provide maintenance-free, portable, solar-powered LED aviation lights will support the difficult logistical requirements of the US Marine Corps.

Carmanah has currently delivered more than 6500 units to the Middle East for airfield and obstruction lighting. For more information, contact Allister Wilmott, the Business Development Manager for Carmanah’s Aviation Lighting Division.
