Carmanah’s i-STOP® Solar LED Bus Stop Certified by US Federal Highway Administration

Carmanah’s Solar LED Lighting Group is pleased to report that the Company’s i-STOP® solar-powered LED bus stop has been successfully tested in accordance with the guidelines contained in the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) Report 350, Recommended Procedures for the Safety Performance Evaluation of Highway Features.

Published by the US Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the NCHRP Report 350 was developed to subject roadside safety features to severe vehicle impact conditions through normalized test conditions.

When installed on an approved breakaway device, Carmanah’s award-winning i-STOP® solar-powered LED lighting system is certified to NCHRP-350 road safety standards.
