VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA CANADA (June 1, 2011) Carmanah Technologies Corporation (TSX: CMH) is pleased to announce the sale of its EverGEN 1710 solar powered lights to a US federal government parking lot facility located in the Midwest.

This deal marks the second installation by this particular government agency using EverGEN 1710 solar lights for a parking lot installation. The installation is in the Midwest of the United States and represents an excellent example of solar powered lights being a technology that can be implemented anywhere in North America.

Ted Lattimore, Carmanah CEO, states, “When we see the same client organization doing a second project using Carmanah solar powered lights, we know that we have a satisfied customer. Our experience has shown us that once people personally experience the performance and reliability of Carmanah EverGEN solar powered lights, they are more likely to look for other projects where they can use the technology again. This is part of the natural adoption process for newer technology. With all the recent installations of our EverGEN systems, we are expecting good things in the future.”

The project was developed by Carmanah lighting agent, Michigan Lighting Systems, East.
