Carmanah Receives Multiple Orders from the US Air Force for Solar LED Airfield Lighting

Carmanah has recently received three separate contracts from the US Air Force for solar-powered LED airfield lights that will be installed at various air bases in the Middle East. Approximately 100 units of Carmanah's Model A601 taxiway and obstruction lights will be deployed at the Kandahar Air Base in Afghanistan.

US Army Orders Carmanah Airfield Lighting Kits for Two Iraq Air Bases

Carmanah has received an order from the US Army to supply two of its airfield lighting kits for installation on secondary runways at the Tall'Afar and Qayyarah Airfield West (Q West) air bases in Iraq. Located in northern Iraq near the Tigris River, the Tall'Afar and Q West Airfields do not have the reliable electrical infrastructure necessary to support hardwired airfield lighting for their new secondary runways.

Carmanah is pleased to announce the receipt of two orders from a Michigan technology company to power critical natural gas monitoring equipment. The orders consist of four of Carmanah's 100-watt MAPPS solar power systems. These orders follow the successful installation and ongoing performance of two previous systems purchased in the spring of 2005.
