Carmanah Supplies LED Street-Name Signs to the City of Shoreline, Washington

Carmanah has been contracted by the City of Shoreline, Washington, to supply 12 units of its Model R409 LED edge-lit street-name signs. These signs will be installed along Aurora Avenue between North 155th Street and 165th Street. Shoreline is the first city in the state of Washington to purchase Carmanah's LED illuminated street-name signs.

Gulf Coast Desperate for Victoria-made LED Lights in Wake of Hurricane Katrina

Solar-powered LED lighting produced in Victoria is lighting up key transportation routes on the U.S. Gulf Coast left dark by Hurricane Katrina. Orders for more than 500 of Carmanah Technologies' marine, railway and aviation lights were received during the week following Katrina. To meet the demand, the pioneer LED and solar power company has sent all of its inventory, and is dedicating all of its new production to the area. Most of the orders have been for Carmanah's 700-Series marine navigation lights, which have been sent to the U.S.

This system will be installed by the end of October 2005, in the City of Dayton, Oregon to power a water reservoir security system. The City of Dayton water reservoir is located in a remote area that doesn't utilize conventional security or lighting solutions.
