Carmanah is the primary supplier of solar-powered LED technology to the US Air Force and US Army for permanent and temporary airfield lighting applications. Already specified as the source supplier of solar-powered LED lighting solutions to the US Navy, US Army Corps of Engineers and the US Coast Guard, the US Air Force is now using Carmanah's aviation lights for taxiway edge lighting, obstruction lighting, apron lighting, barricade lighting and emergency lighting.

Atlanta Transit Buys Carmanah’s i-STOP™ Solar-Powered, LED-Illuminated Bus Stop

Victoria, BC - October 30, 2003 - Carmanah Technologies Corporation (TSX VE: CMH) is pleased to announce that the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) has selected the i-STOP(tm), Carmanah's new solar-powered bus-stop illumination system, for its "Enhanced Service Routes." The IES Committee will be conducting a General Aviation taxiway edge light test in Shelton, WA between May 8-10, 2003.
