US Air Force Orders Carmanah Taxiway Lights, Helipad Lights & Obstruction Lights

Carmanah's Solar LED Lighting Group has received an order from the US Air Force for more than 300 solar-powered LED airfield lights to be used for taxiway, helipad and obstruction applications at an undisclosed air base. Carmanah is the primary supplier of self-contained solar LED airfield lighting solutions for Department of Defense (DOD) commands worldwide.

Carmanah Supplies GPS-Synchronized Solar Marine Lights for Busan Newport, South Korea

Through an authorized South Korean distributor, Carmanah's Marine Lighting Division recently supplied a number of its Model M701-5 GPS solar marine lights to the Busan Regional Maritime Affairs & Fisheries Office in South Korea. These GPS-synchronized solar LED lights will be used as aids-to-navigation & leading lights within the recently opened Busan Newport, located around the cities of Busan and Jinhae in the south-eastern region of the country.

Carmanah Receives Additional Order for Airfield Lights from US Marine Corps in the Middle East

Carmanah's Solar LED Lighting Group has received an additional order for more than 300 solar-powered LED airfield lights from the US Marine Corps. This order includes taxiway lights, helipad lights, threshold lights and related mounting accessories. With no trenching, cabling, or external power infrastructure required, Carmanah's solar-powered LED airfield lights can be installed quickly with no disruption to ongoing operations.

US Air Force Orders Carmanah Taxiway Lights for Middle East Airport

Carmanah's Solar LED Lighting Group has received an order from the US Air Force (USAF) for 100 units of its Model A601 taxiway lights. These self-contained, solar LED units will be installed for taxiway edge lighting at the second busiest US Department of Defense airport in the Middle East. This US Defence airport integrates Air Force, Army, Marine, coalition and civilian operations on a daily basis and supports more than 17,000 airframes per month.

Carmanah Technologies Corp, a Victoria company known worldwide for its solar-powered marine, airport and highway lights, is stretching a green arm into the computer industry. NEC Displays Solutions of America unveiled Carmanah's new solar battery system for computer monitors this week at the International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Carmanah CEO Art Aylesworth called the partnership with Irving, Texas-based NEC Displays - a division of NEC Corp (NASDAQ:NIPNY) - as a strong breakthrough for solar power in consumer electronics.
