Carmanah Awarded Fluorescent Sign Replacement Project in California

Carmanah's Solar LED Lighting Group has been contracted by the City of Roseville in the state of California to supply an additional 19 units of its Model R409 LED edge-lit street-name signs. These signs will be installed at various intersections in the downtown corridor, as part of The Downtown Roseville Visioning Project that was initiated in 1999.

The Vancouver Island technology community raised almost $50,000 at the Canary Foundation's picnic and inaugural Canary Derby. The money was donated to the BC Cancer Foundation, Vancouver Island for the BC Cancer Agency's Trev & Joyce Deeley Research Centre. In the Canary Derby, 12 technology companies designed, built and raced soapbox cars, with Aspreva Pharmaceuticals taking first place.

Carmanah Receives Additional order from Harrah’s Group of Casinos for LED Edge-lit Table Limit Signs

Carmanah's LED Sign Group has received an additional order from Harrah's Rincon of Harrah's Group of Casinos for a number of its LED Edge-lit digital table limit signs. These signs will be placed on all the casino's tables in order to complete renovations, in the former Bingo area of the casino.

A delegation of Chinese scientists and government officials from Shanghai tour Carmanah Technologies Corp. production plant on Enterprise Cresent in Saanich Thursday morning. The group was attending the World Urban Forum in Vancouver and took a detour to victoria to study environmentally friendly businesses and manufacturers.

Carmanah Provides California Casino with LED Edge-lit Digital Table Limit Signs

Carmanah's LED Sign Group has received an order from San Manual Bingo and Casino for additional units of its LED edge-lit digital table limit signs. These signs will be installed to complete the look of new table games that were recently introduced to the Casino. San Manual Bingo and Casino, located in Southern California, has been owned and operated by the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians since 1986.

US Coast Guard Stockpiles Carmanah Marine Lights for 2006 Hurricane Season

Carmanah has received a number of orders from the US Coast Guard ("USCG") for hundreds of its 700 Series solar-powered LED marine navigation lights in anticipation of the 2006 hurricane season. Following hurricane Katrina last year, Carmanah had to divert all of its inventory and production to meet the immediate demand for over 500 of its solar-powered LED marine, railway and aviation lights.

Carmanah Provides Solar Power Systems for Gas Fields in Colorado and Kansas, USA

Carmanah's Solar Power Systems Group has been contracted by Wyoming Service & Supply, a corrosion control contractor based out of Rock Springs, WY, to supply 16 of its proprietary MAPPS remote solar power systems. These systems will be used to power Cathodic Protection Systems on gas wells at various locations in Colorado and Kansas.

Carmanah Provides US Army with A704-5 Wireless Runway Lights

Carmanah has received an order from the US Army for 50 units of its newly released Model A704-5 wireless solar LED runway edge lights, 20 units of its A704-5 solar LED threshold lights, 1 unit of its hand-held controller and supporting units of aviation light accessories. These units will be installed at a permanent airfield for fixed wing operations and Special Forces training. Special Forces and US Army pilots will use the runway for training (takeoffs and landings) and standard flight procedures using both visible NVG compatible and covert infrared lighting..
