The solar-powered products are self-contained and therefore are not required to conform to electrical standards around the world.

Carmanah Receives Contract for Marking Anti-Terrorism Nets

Carmanah Technologies Inc. (Victoria, British Columbia, Canada) received a Navy contact to supply Model 601 solar-powered LED lanterns for marking anti-terrorism nets. Carmanah's marine lanterns will be used on a floating barrier to protect ships while in port. Model 601 LED lantern is the world's most advanced 1- to 2-mile navigational light.

Carmanah Signs Contract to Supply Lights to Kandla, India

Countries around the world, including India, are brighter and safer thanks to products manufactured by Carmanah Technologies Inc. The Victoria-based company designs and manufactures solar-powered LED (light-emitting diode) lights for marking channels, waterways, moored vessels and docks, as well as highlighting hazards and high caution areas on roads, highways and railways. During the Canada Trade Mission to India, Carmanah signed a contract for the sale of 22 of its Model 701 marine lights to the port of Kandla.

Unveiled at the American Traffic Safety Services Association's Convention and Traffic Expo, a new line of solar-powered light emitting diode (LED) signage-lighting products is available from Carmanah Technologies Corporation. The self-contained products include school crossing flashers, bi-directional hazard marker posts, directional lights, and sign enhancers.

Carmanah Technologies Corp. has received $200,000 in orders for its new solar-powered LED transportation products from Solagen Ltd., its joint venture partner in the United Kingdom. Carmanah Gets Patent, US Navy Order for Solar Lighting

Carmanah Technologies Inc., Victoria, has received a Canadian patent for its proprietary solar powered light emitting diode (LED) lighting technology. This complements the company's US patent of the same name: Sealed, Solar-Powered Light Assembly. The new Canadian patent adds to the company's previous inventory of seven patents internationally and two patents pending. The company specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of patented, proprietary solar powered LED lighting devices for marine, roadway and railway markets.
