Carmanah Technologies Enters Into Supply Agreement with Acuity Brands

  VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA (February 28, 2013) Carmanah Technologies (TSX: CMH) announced today that it has entered into a supply agreement with Acuity Brands, Inc. (NYSE: AYI), a leading provider of LED lighting and lighting controls. The agreement provides for the supply of Carmanah’s commercial-grade solar outdoor light engines for integration into certain luminaires produced by Acuity Brands.

Carmanah/ADB Supply Emergency Solar Systems to Brazilian Air Force

VICTORIA, BC, CANADA (December 21, 2012) Airfield lighting partners Carmanah Technologies (TSX:CMH), ADB Airfield Solutions and Brazilian distributor AVIEX  Importacao have been selected to supply five emergency-deployable, solar-powered airfield and helipad lighting systems to the Brazilian Air Force at a value of over $400,000.    The fully portable lighting systems will be stored at the Brazilian Air Force Command Centre and are designed to be easily deployed at offsite locations as operational requirements change.  All systems include durable deployment containers to ensure safe transportation and storage.

Carmanah Reports Third Quarter 2012 Results

  VICTORIA, BC, CANADA (November 15, 2012) Carmanah Technologies Corporation (TSX: CMH) (“the Company” or “Carmanah”) today reported its third quarter results for the period ended September 30, 2012.   For the three months ended September 30, 2012, the Company recorded a net loss of $0.8 million on revenues of $6.7 million.  Total third quarter 2012 revenues were down $1.8 million over the same period in 2011.  The net loss is primarily driven by lower revenues recognized in the current quarter.

Carmanah to Build Innovative PV System for BrightRoof Solar

BrightRoof Solar LP has contracted Carmanah Technologies (TSX: CMH) to design and build a 250 kW solar photovoltaic (PV) system on an industrial building with varied roof surfaces. Carmanah’s Solar Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) Services group will begin installation of the rooftop facility in Wallaceburg, Ontario later this month. BrightRoof Solar participates in Ontario’s Feed-In Tariff program as a long-term owner and operator of rooftop solar facilities.

Carmanah Awarded $1.1 Million in Contracts Towards Ontario’s Renewable Energy Development

Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited has awarded Carmanah Technologies (TSX:CMH) contracts worth approximately $1,100,000 (CAD) to engineer and construct three rooftop solar photovoltaic (PV) generating facilities. The systems are located on York Mills, McGregor and Mimico Arenas and are expected to produce more than 250,000 kWh of clean, renewable energy annually for the City of Toronto. With its first grid connected systems installed in 2001, Carmanah remains one of Canada’s leading Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) service providers of rooftop solar generation.
