Carmanah has been contracted by the USAF to supply two of Carmanah’s R820C solar-powered LED, push button activated crosswalk warning beacons and two R247 solar-powered LED flashing beacons for installation at a Middle East location.

These solar-powered LED flashing beacons will be installed outside the Air Base’s fire station in a heavy pedestrian traffic area. The Carmanah roadway beacons will be equipped with road signs and will act as a warning system to alert aircraft and vehicles to stop in the event of a fire on the air base. With limited access to hard-wired power, Carmanah’s solar-powered LED roadway beacons are an ideal solution for this application.

This USAF Air Base is already familiar with Carmanah’s solar-powered LED lighting technology, as it has been operating with more than 800 of the company’s airfield lights for taxiway and runway operations.

Known for their reliability, Carmanah’s solar-powered LED lighting products eliminate the need for trenching and cabling, making the installation simple and cost-effective. Carmanah’s Model R247 and R820C solar-powered LED flashing beacons operate 24 hours per day annually, yet require no maintenance or servicing for up to five years.
