Carmanah is supplying Ford Motor Company with its proprietary R247 solar-powered LED flashing beacons for installation at the company’s Buffalo Stamping Plant in Buffalo, New York.
The Buffalo Stamping Plant, opened in 1950, is a 2.5 million square foot factory, spanning more than 118 acres. The number of trucks frequently moving around inside this large manufacturing facility increased the risk of accidents and Ford employee safety.

Ford’s Buffalo Stamping Plant already uses solar power for a number of applications, including heating its facility with one of the largest solar ventilation air preheating walls in the world.
