The National Museum of the United States Air Force, located near Dayton, Ohio recently bestowed a great honour on Carmanah Techologies by accepting one of its products, the A704-5 to be included in their collection of air force memorabilia. This rare occurrence reflects the light’s impact during long campaigns in the Middle East supporting temporary and mobile aviation operations in many forward operating bases. The solar powered lights reduced the Department of Defense’ dependence on fossil fuels and increased the energy efficiency of operating forces. The light is currently being transferred in to the collection and will be on display in the foreseeable future.
