US Air Force Orders 300 Carmanah LED Solar-Powered Taxiway Lights

Carmanah has received an order from the US Air Force (USAF) for 300 Model A601 solar-powered LED taxiway lights with optional deactivation switches. These lights will be installed at the Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, which already uses more than 2,500 units of Carmanah's solar LED portable airfield lights. The Ali Al Salem Air Base is situated 39 miles north of the Iraqi border in a flat dessert environment with difficult to access electrical infrastructure necessary to support hardwired airfield lighting.

Carmanah Supplies Solar LED Marine Lights for Sign Marking on the Danube River

Carmanah has received an additional order from Plovput Beograde, the government agency responsible for the maintenance and development of all Serbian Inland Waterways (IWWs), for 55 units of its Model 601 solar-powered LED marine navigation lights. These units will be used to illuminate buoys and waterway markers throughout a 600km stretch of the Danube River in Serbia. One of the world's most important shipping routes, the Danube River is Europe's second longest waterway and runs for 2,850 kilometers from Germany to the Romanian coastline.
