Carmanah Received Additional Order from City of Broomfield, CO, for LED Edge-lit Street Name Signs

Carmanah is pleased to report that the Traffic Engineering Division of the City of Broomfield, CO, has purchased an additional 23 of its R409 LED edge-lit street name signs. This recent purchase is part of the city's street sign improvement program, which began in 2004. Because the City of Broomfield was experiencing high costs for maintaining the fluorescent signs they were using, they wanted to come up with a more cost effective solution.

Carmanah Receives Another Airfield Lighting Order for Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan

Carmanah has received an additional order from the US Air Force for solar-powered LED aviation lights to be installed at the Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan. This new order consists of 42 A702/A601 obstruction lights as well as 23 units of Carmanah's recently improved A702 solar LED runway lights. Carmanah's second generation Model A702 solar LED runway lights are three times brighter than their predecessor and feature a new mechanical switch to access three advanced functions: Emergency on/off levels Intensity control (with the option to boost output for short periods of time) Test battery charge state There is currently no existing infrastructure to support a traditional hardwired airfield system for the 10,000-foot runway at Bagram Air Base, which is located 47 km north of Kabal.
