Carmanah Supplies Solar Modules To Datalogging Company in Alberta

Carmanah's Solar Power Systems Group is pleased to report it has supplied 1000 2W solar modules to a datalogging company in Alberta, Canada. The customer was looking for a reliable supplier for a specific solar module to power its proprietary datalogger equipment. The customer's previous source for these modules had problems with meeting agreed delivery times, putting the customer in a difficult position and delaying the supply of its products to its customer base. In September of 2005, the customer selected Carmanah as an alternative supplier and placed a blanket purchase order for 4 shipments of 250 modules.

Carmanah's LED Sign Group has received a repeat order from GarCom Int., for LGG Comfort Homes, Inc., to supply customized LED edge-lit illuminated address plaques for installation on new housing developments in various cities throughout Texas. GarCom Int. is an ongoing supplier of address plaques to LGG Comfort Homes Inc., and has been a longtime client of Carmanah.

Carmanah Supplies Solar LED Airfield Lights to Salt Lake City International Airport

Carmanah has received order from Salt Lake City International Airport for 80 units of its solar-powered LED airfield lights. These lights will be installed as part of an upgrade and expansion project at the airport. Salt Lake City International Airport, located five miles northwest of downtown Salt Lake City, serves more than 100 cities with over 800 scheduled flights daily.

Carmanah Provides Solar Power for Video Surveillance Cameras in California

Carmanah's Solar Power Systems Group has established an ongoing supply contract with Wireless Eye, Inc. for its proprietary 320-watt MAPPS (Modular Autonomous Photovoltaic Power Supply) Systems. These solar-powered systems will be installed at locations in Central California to run wireless security cameras at new home construction sites. Wireless Eye, owned by telcom tower manufacturer US Tower Corporation of Woodlake CA, produces a patent-pending, solar-powered wireless and secure video surveillance camera system for construction, agricultural and asset site security.

Carmanah Provides LED Street Name Signs to Hurricane Area in Southern Florida

Carmanah has received an order for 91 R409 single-sided, edge-lit LED illuminated street-name sign for Broward County, Florida. These signs will be installed in South Florida in the Fort Lauderdale and South County areas. Carmanah manufactures the only LED street name sign that is certified and approved on the Florida APL. Broward County has been installing fluorescent street-name signs for years and, as a result, has experienced the high costs of bulb replacement and frequent sign maintenance.

Carmanah's Solar Power Systems Group has been contracted by a gas compression company based out of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, to supply up to 70 integrated solar power systems for powering gas detection equipment at various locations throughout the province. Each custom solar power system supplied by Carmanah comprises a solar array with pole mount, charge controller, 100Ahr batteries, enclosure and cabling.

Minister of Natural Resources Attends Solar Energy Manufacturing Plant in Victoria, BC

VICTORIA: Saanich-Gulf Islands MP and Minister of Natural Resources Gary Lunn will be the featured guest of Carmanah Technologies at the opening of Carmanah Technologies' new 30,000 square foot Manufacturing Plant. Joining Saanich Mayor Frank Leonard and Carmanah CEO Art Aylesworth, Minister Lunn will officially open the new plant with a ceremonial "flick of the switch," and provide greetings from the Government of Canada. "This is big news for Greater Victoria," said Minister Lunn, "Each time one of these businesses chooses Victoria, it means jobs for local workers.
