Carmanah Lands California Deal

VICTORIA -- Carmanah Technologies' solar-powered, LED- illuminated bus stop, the iStop, will be making life a little easier for transit riders in Southern California soon. Victoria-based Carmanah has received a $120,000 order for the iStop from the Antelope Valley Transit Authority, which serves the municipalities of Lancaster and Ferndale north of Los Angeles.

Additional Barricade Lights Ordered by Auckland International

Auckland International Airport, New Zealand, has ordered an additional 20 units of Carmanah's solar-powered LED barricade lights for construction projects continuing through to the end of 2004. After a successful testing phase operating 55 units of Carmanah's self contained taxiway edge lights, Auckland Intl.'s airfield operations turned to Carmanah's maintenance free, zero infrastructure airfield lighting to meet their barricade lighting requirements as well.

Carmanah Threshold Lights Ordered by Honolulu International Airport

Honolulu International Airport (HNL) has ordered Carmanah's portable threshold and runway edge lights for a runway construction project to commence this summer at the south end of its general aviation runway. The majority of displaced threshold lighting installations rely on diesel driven generators or maintenance-intensive battery use for ongoing runway construction projects.

Carmanah’s Model 601 Awarded 2003 Silver ADEX Award

On May 11 2004, Carmanah's Model 601 solar-powered LED light was awarded Silver in the 2003 ADEX Awards. Since 1994, the Awards for Design Excellence (ADEX) is the largest and most prestigious awards program for product design of furniture, fixtures and finishes marketed to the design trade. More than 500 companies submit thousands of innovative new products for the ADEX competition.

Carmanah Lights Ordered by US Army Medivac Hospital at Camp Udairi, Kuwait

Carmanah is pleased to announce it is providing Model 702 helipad edge lights to the US Army for installation at the at the Camp Udairi, Medivac helipad zone in Kuwait. Carmanah's lights will be used for outgoing and incoming Medivac pilots responsible for the transport of patients and personnel during Middle East operations.
