Additional Runway Edge Lights Ordered by Balad Air Base

The US Air Force has recently ordered an additional 20 units of Carmanah's Model 702 runway edge light for permanent installation at the Balad Air Base in Iraq. Carmanah has more than 1000 units permanently installed at Balad for fixed wing and rotary aircraft operations carried out by the US Air Force and US Army.

$370,000 Order for Carmanah Aviation Lights to be Installed at U.S. Air Bases in Iraq

Carmanah is pleased to announce that the Company has received an additional order for approximately $370,000 from the U.S. Army to supply solar-powered LED (light-emitting diodes) aviation lights to 3 air bases in Iraq. The order is for more than 500 units of Carmanah's Model 601 and 700 Series Aviation Lights, to be used for fixed wing and rotary aircraft at expedited airfields in the regions of Mosul, Tikrit and Taji.

Carmanah Lands California Deal

VICTORIA -- Carmanah Technologies' solar-powered, LED- illuminated bus stop, the iStop, will be making life a little easier for transit riders in Southern California soon. Victoria-based Carmanah has received a $120,000 order for the iStop from the Antelope Valley Transit Authority, which serves the municipalities of Lancaster and Ferndale north of Los Angeles.

Additional Barricade Lights Ordered by Auckland International

Auckland International Airport, New Zealand, has ordered an additional 20 units of Carmanah's solar-powered LED barricade lights for construction projects continuing through to the end of 2004. After a successful testing phase operating 55 units of Carmanah's self contained taxiway edge lights, Auckland Intl.'s airfield operations turned to Carmanah's maintenance free, zero infrastructure airfield lighting to meet their barricade lighting requirements as well.
