Carmanah is pleased to report that the Traffic Engineering Division of the City of Broomfield, CO, has purchased an additional 23 of its R409 LED edge-lit street name signs. This recent purchase is part of the city’s street sign improvement program, which began in 2004. Because the City of Broomfield was experiencing high costs for maintaining the fluorescent signs they were using, they wanted to come up with a more cost effective solution.

The Carmanah LED Lighting technology offered Broomfield the perfect results. After testing several other LED options, the City of Broomfield selected the Carmanah R409 LED Edge-lit signs to replace 12 traditional fluorescent street signs.

Carmanah’s LED Edge-Lit technology provides a durable solution for internally illuminated street-name signs and other traffic signs. They are energy efficient, easy to install, and provide evenly distributed illumination. The rugged signs will operate maintenance-free for up to 50,000 hours, with no bulbs or ballasts to replace.

With more than 100,000 installations, Carmanah is a world leader in solar-powered LED lighting. For more information about the Company’s unique roadway lighting solutions, please visit www.roadlights.com or contact the Roadway Lighting Division at:
