Carmanah’s Solar LED Lighting Group recently installed solar-powered LED stop sign warning beacons at a major U.S. department store to increase driver awareness and improve parking lot safety.
As per the customer’s requirements, the stop sign warning beacons were pre-programmed to operate during store hours. The beacons are entirely self-contained and were installed quickly onto existing poles with no trenching or external wiring. As the beacons use Carmanah’s LED-based signal head, there are no bulbs to replace and they are designed to operate for up to five years with no scheduled maintenance (at which point only a battery change would be required).
The customer has indicated that it is entirely satisfied with the ease of installation and performance of Carmanah’s stop sign warning beacons, and it is considering additional installations at more than 120 other department stores in its chain.
